Create a campaign for Motorola's Motofone -- a phone reinvented for people in emerging markets all over the world.


THE IDEA
RETHINK FONE
Imagine living in conditions where dust and sand storms are a regularity. Torrential rains are an everyday thing. Blinding sunlight and extreme heat is common. These are conditions people all over the world experience everyday. Their main form of communication is their cell phone, and when it breaks down because of adverse weather they are disconnected from their world of family, friends and work.
The site tells the story of how the Motorola design team traveled to 3 continents to research different cultures and live in the conditions surrounding people in these harsh climates. From New Delhi to South Africa, their insights, findings and failures inspired them to rethink the cell phone so that people in geographically challenged areas would no longer be unconnected from their work, family and friends.
The site had over 180 pieces of interactive video and still content narrated by the Motorola design team.
